Getting what u want is easy. It’s keeping it that’s hard.

U want the job so bad. U believe that u’ll do anything to get it. And eventually u got the job. Good. But what is ur plan to keep urself from losing it?

Take car instead. Getting a car that u want is easy, *u can even pay Zero down payment nowadays* . it’s keeping up with the monthly loan, in the midst of all sort of bills is the hardest part. Getting in is easy. Staying in takes work.

Or marriage. U fall in love, u want to the part of each other’s life. Well, to utter the vows might be easy. But hey, even the most peaceful and loving marriage could collapse. Why?

Why can’t thing stay the same? Why is it that once u stay in love, and u can’t stay that way? Is it too much to expect when someone promise to love for the rest of his or her life, will keep the promise? Perhaps we should only promise what we know is achievable. At least, that’s what I always do with my promises. Too careful to promise, so that I’ll not break the promise.

The point is, we shouldn’t look at our partner/spouse/lover as something that we’ve won finally.

Maybe we should look at them as who they are à the extension of ourselves and how hard we’ve work to make it true.

equally, once your loved one ‘promotes’ u into being the hubby or wife, don’t rest ur case as u’re finally arrived at the destination. Because if u stop paying attention, it means that u don’t play for keep. And u will only have urself to blame.

The choice is yours.~

U know, for sometime I've been propagandizing that love is just a feeling. A temp feeling that goes away when you find something better or u lose interest, likened to buy a nice shoe that u liked today, just to find another one that you liked better tomorrow. I still do believe in that (love is just a feeling) and amidst all the hectic work schedule and time spent doing other stuff, I managed to sit quietly for a while and read a book which made me to think a bit. I havent really put much thought about it to change my stance, but it made me to think and I shall explore it further soon. Well anyway... just a quote from the book:

"Love is the will to extend one's self for the purpose of nurturing one's own or another's spiritual growth... Love is as love does. Love is an act of will -- namely, both an intention and an action. Will also implies choice. We do not have to love. We choose to love."

Probably didnt answer all your questions but I think it might make you to think as well the meaning of this.
